Snot!
When I woke up at 3:30 this morning my head was full of SNOT! The only thing that can bring a smile to my face when I am feeling the sinus pressure and uncertainty of when the next “snot slide” will occur, is a little poem composed my sweet husband Jason. He shared this little ditty with me during our college years and now I am going to share it with you. Let’s just hope that...

Fascinate
Peyton: Mommy can you fascinate my shirt?
Becki: Can I what?
Peyton: Can you fascinate my shirt?
Becki: Oh, can I fasten your shirt?
Peyton: Yes, that's what I said, can you fascinate my shirt.
Becki: Sure sweetie, I would love to fascinate your shirt.
Peyton's Big Day
Today was a big day for Peyton. She graduated from pre K. Now normally, you wouldn’t think graduating from pre K is a big deal, but it is in Peyton’s world. For a few weeks now she has been practicing her character quality that she must recite on stage. Oddly enough, her character quality is obedience. If you know Peyton at all, obedience is not one of her strong traits.

My Man Monday
This evening Peyton & I went to Food Lion to rent a Rug Doctor to clean our carpets. While I was waiting to check out, a young lady came into the store crying. The manager came over, hugged her and walked her into the office. After I checked out, I had to go customer service where the manager had to fill out my paperwork. It was then that she explained to me that the young lady was crying...

Say what?????
Peyton: Mommy what would you like to drink?
Becki: I would like a cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper please.
Peyton: OK that will be $5.
Becki: Well here you go.
Peyton: Will that be debit or credit and whose name do you want me to put it under?
Becki: Now where have you heard that before?
Did you know?
Braden: I am going to bring this Bakugan to school.
Becki: Ok, you can trade if you want to.
Braden: Mommy, did you know that this Bakugan is a girl?
Becki: No buddy, I didn't know that. Do you know that I think you are the smartest boy in the world?
Braden: Yes.
Becki: And do you know that I love you very much?
Braden: Yes, and I know you wouldn't trade me!
Becki: Sure wouldn't!

Who's your daddy?
When lightining flashed at our house, Peyton’s response was, “Shut down the computers, and unplug them!” Wonder where she heard that?
Your mama raised you right...
Peyton: Hey, this box of snacks has a box top on it.
Becki: Oh, great. Are you going to save the box top?
(We collect box tops for Braden's school)
Peyton: Yes, I'll tell me teachers that I need to save the box so we can get the box top and recycle the rest of the box.
Becki: That's my girl!
Doubts
Over the last few weeks I have been battling with some serious doubts. Doubts about being a good wife, a good mother, a good friend…you name it, I doubted it. I know, hard to believe. Then along comes a song by Seether titled “Rise Above This”. Now Seether is not a christian band, and this song is not for the faint at heart… but the lyrics are very applicable to any...
Bad things ...
…happen in threes. I’ve heard this saying before and had the pleasure of experiencing it for myself over the last two weeks.
#1 It all started with our kitchen light. I could smell something coming from the light ,which happens to be fluorescent, one morning when I turned it on. Come to find out, the ballast needed to be replaced. Needless to say, I now know more about...
Thursday's thoughts
Why is it only when we have company coming that I notice every single dust particle in the house?
heard a statement that is so true about myself. “I feel like I’m too much and not enough at the same time.”
I saw a frozen cat, (pretty sure it was dead) this morning when I brought Braden to school.
Braden is getting baptized Sunday and I cry when I think about it!
Most of the...

My Man Monday
So for this My Man Monday, we take a little trip down memory lane. Jason and I met and dated while in college. At the time, I was working on campus as a lifeguard at the school pool. One evening Jason and I were going to have dinner together, but I had to work. Jason said he would pick up dinner and bring it to the pool so we could still have dinner together. Now, before you get all freaked out...
Pajama Day
I told Peyton that, since it is going to be very cold today, we could have a pajama day. Meaning we could stay in our pajamas (for most of the day) watch movies and do other girly things. Well, she quickly turned it into a pajama party and started telling me things we could do at our pajama party. She told me I had to write it down so we wouldn’t forget our activities for the pajama...
