My Man Monday
This evening Peyton & I went to Food Lion to rent a Rug Doctor to clean our carpets. While I was waiting to check out, a young lady came into the store crying. The manager came over, hugged her and walked her into the office. After I checked out, I had to go customer service where the manager had to fill out my paperwork. It was then that she explained to me that the young lady was crying because her husband died this morning. She went on to tell me that the young lady was 24 years old and they had only been married for a week. She went to wake him up this morning, and realized that he was dead. Immediately my eyes watered and my heart broke for her.
I got into my car and called Jason to tell him that I love him and to be very careful coming home to me.
Tonight made me realize how blessed I am to have spent the last 13 years with my best friend. I will not take for granted the last 9 years of being able to start and end my day with Jason. Just the thought of not sharing my life with him, brings me to tears.
So for My Man Monday, thank you Jason for understanding the phone call to tell you to be careful. You are awesome!
