My Man Monday
So for this My Man Monday, we take a little trip down memory lane. Jason and I met and dated while in college. At the time, I was working on campus as a lifeguard at the school pool. One evening Jason and I were going to have dinner together, but I had to work. Jason said he would pick up dinner and bring it to the pool so we could still have dinner together. Now, before you get all freaked out that I wasn’t going to be able to fulfill my lifeguard duties while having dinner, you need to know 2 things: 1. I wasn’t the only lifeguard there 2. we were watching a water aerobics class with about 3 people in it!
Anyway, back to the story. Jason asked what I would like to have for dinner, and I decided to see just how “bad” he had it for me. I told him I was in the mood for McDonald’s french fries, a crunchy taco from Taco Bell, a frosty from Wendy’s, and a cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper from Sonic. Of course I told him I was joking and would like whatever he chose. Well, don’t you know that man came back with every item I had requested plus food for himself! The other lifeguard on duty was very jealous and called her boyfriend and told him what Jason had done. And every time I worked with her after that, she was always curious as to what Jason would be bringing me while I was on duty…yes, I know, I said duty!
Of course this meal would not happen now a days. If I even THINK about having all of that, I would gain a gazzillion pounds instantly. However, I do know that if there is something I want or need, no matter how ridiculous… Jason still does his best to take care of me. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the many reason’s why I married him. All together now…AAAWWW!
